SAiFE: A Sandbox for AI-powered trading in decentralised Financial markets
Project Summary
Decentralised Finance (DeFi) has revolutionised financial markets by introducing new asset classes, enabling anyone to trade digital assets directly, and lowering barriers to entry. However, it has also introduced substantial risks to investors, regulators and the market at large – risks that existing trading tools are not yet equipped to manage.
SAiFE aims to close this gap by lifting the formal understanding of DeFi and developing trading toolkits comparable to those available in Traditional Finance (TradFi). Our end goal is to deliver a free, open-source sandbox – a secure testing space – where researchers, practitioners and non-experts alike will be able to apply Artificial Intelligence techniques to design, execute and refine trading strategies in realistic DeFi scenarios. Enriched with a simple, no-code, user-friendly interface, SAiFE aims to democratise access to DeFi tools and help reduce systemic risks, addressing both the distrust and dangers currently impacting the crypto space.
By combining bleeding-edge Blockchain and Artificial Intelligence technologies – the emerging backbones of financial innovation and efficiency – SAiFE will unlock safer, more efficient and inclusive decentralised financial markets for a wider audience.
